On November 10, TAURON Arena Krakow will become a space of metamorphoses. The musical and visual spectacle will be prepared by Andrzej Smolik - artistic director and Adam Nyk - creative artist.
The initiated creative process is already underway and evolving. It is joined by invited artists from the Polish music scene: Krzysztof Zalewski, Katarzyna Nosowska, Piotr Rogucki, Natalia Przybysz, Brodka, Grzegorz Turnau, Miuosh, Kasia Kurzawska, Kev Fox, Dawid Tyszkowski, Wiktor Waligóra and Atom String Quartet.
TO KRAKOW CREATES METAMORFOZY feat. SMOLIK is a project that expands comfort zones and opens space for intergenerational exchange of experience and energy - on stage and among the audience. Andrzej Smolik: Metamorphosis is a very capacious concept, it actually happens all the time and everywhere. We are at the conceptual stage and our "Metamorphoses" will happen during intensive work, with time all the elements will start to come together. We are creating an intergenerational event. It will involve artists of different ages, who will perform in one show that is welded together by sound and image. The young will play the songs of the older, and the older will play the songs of the younger, stepping out of their comfort zone while creating a space for change and metamorphoses.
Adam Nyk: With the image we want to give further meanings to what will happen on stage. With visual tools we can expand the contexts, change and add to them. I'm going to focus on the sound, on its analogy and structure, on the reflection of that in the image. Part of the effect is unknowable. In addition to the work involved in analyzing the concert in the context of the musical layer: sound, structure, harmony and rhythm, at the very end - at the concert I will improvise with multiple layers of animation. Together, we will follow the music as partners making this journey together so that we can all transform ourselves, according to the concept of metamorphoses.
