The Art of Living Well
Topic: The art of saying goodbye - between despair and relief
November 6, 2025 (Thursday)
hr. 18:00
Western Conference Room
TAURON Arena Krakow
Ahead of us is the 11th meeting of the Art of Living Well series. Join us for a discussion on how to cope after a loss.
The lecture will look at how we learn to experience loss at different stages of life. How is the ability to say goodbye and let go shaped in us, as well as deal with social perception - belittling or pressure? What happens in the emotional space when we lose something or someone? We will also consider how we can accompany grief through understanding, conversation and attentiveness to what is difficult, but also deeply human.
Margola Sularczyk invites you to a story about the art of saying goodbye.
- How do we learn to experience loss throughout development-from childhood to adulthood?
- How do we experience quantifiable and unquantifiable loss? What are the different forms of loss and their subjective experience?
- How do we experience loss: despair or relief? Ambivalent emotions accompanying loss and their social perception.
- How do we go through the stages of mourning? Psychological and emotional aspects of the process of saying goodbye.
- How can we accompany the loss? How do we be beside the grieving person with empathy and understanding?
Margola Sularczyk is a coach, crisis interventionist and psychotherapist. She has many years of managerial experience, a career turnaround and career change at a ripe old age, as well as experience in creative work (as an actress, screenwriter, poet). She uses these resources in her psychotherapeutic work. She deals with all aspects of family relationships, emotional relationships, professional relationships and relationships with oneself.
After the meeting, attend the workshop.
WORKSHOP I: "On the bakery." - A meeting with traditional slow-life. Conducting: Edyta Poręba
Using metaphor cards and instruments, we will look at beliefs that have been with us since childhood. We will focus on building positive narratives, strengthening inner strength and finding solutions that support growth and well-being. It will be an opportunity to be in the rhythm of nature, work with the body, autumn relaxation and friendly communication with ourselves and others.
For whom: for anyone looking for inspiration on how to spend autumn cozily.
Edyta Poreba - psychotherapist in training, working in the stream of Solution Focused Therapy (TSR), music therapist. For nearly 30 years she has been working with people, from the smallest ones, just born, to seniors. She is fascinated by human beings at every stage of development, and relationship and well-being are an absolute priority for her. The subject of the inner child holds a special place in her practice - she believes that what we received in childhood has a huge impact on our adult life and the way we see the world.
WORSHOP II: "Autumn Grounding with Yoga." Led by Maryna Hobrzyk
Maryna will invite us to take care of our bodies, which naturally need more warmth and relaxation practices in autumn. Conscious and attentive practice will allow us to feel the pleasure that comes from conscious movement and tension-free breathing. With practice, we will strengthen our sense of strength and stability in a short period of time, and with relaxation we will end with a sense of lightness and vitality.
For whom: for people of all ages, both those who practice yoga and those who want to try if it's for them.
Maryna Hobrzyk - teaches yoga and aromatherapy classes. She is a certified instructor of hatha yoga, kinesiogerontoprophylaxis and cranio-sacral therapy, as well as a specialist in pelvic floor muscle training.
WORKSHOP III: "Preserve the beauty of autumn" - handicraft workshop. Led by: Malgorzata Bednarczyk and Jadwiga Cieslak.
Mature women from the Center Active Together, specialists in floristry and handicrafts, invite you to create autumn compositions together. We will use the leaves of different species of trees to create roses, which will be autumn decorations in themselves. They will also decorate garlands, wreaths for doors or walls at home. Creating together in a women's group is a time to relax and put your creativity to work.
For whom: for people of all ages, both for those who like handicrafts and floristry, as well as for those who do not work manually on a daily basis, but want to try to make a beautiful autumn decoration on their own.
Malgorzata Bednarczyk - gardener, vice president at PLINEU Center for Good Life, slow-jogging and Nordic walking instructor. Likes to surround herself with beautiful things, passionate about antique fairs and floristry. She knows how to give a second life to things and create miracles out of ordinary sticks.
