The Art of Living Well
How to tame stress and open space for your own well-being?
December 11, 2025 (Thursday)
hr. 18:00
Western Conference Room
TAURON Arena Krakow
In the daily rush, it's easy to forget that our needs also matter - especially when stress dictates our terms. Meanwhile, life is not just about tasks and responsibilities. It's a space where you can feel calm, regain balance and get back to yourself. Moments of respite are not a luxury. They are the foundation of your well-being.
We would like to invite to the 12th meeting of the "Art of Good Living" series all those who feel that it is difficult for them to take care of themselves on a daily basis. We deserve a moment of pause, attentiveness and lightness - let's give it to ourselves together, at TAURON Arena Krakow.
During the lecture, which will be hosted by Prof. Susanna Janeczko-Setkowicz, you will learn what you can do for your daily balance.
⚬ You will recognize your individual sources of stress and your body and mind reactions to better understand your own style of coping with difficult situations.
⚬ You will learn effective techniques for regulating the nervous system - simple, scientifically proven methods that can be applied at work, at home and in moments of overload (including breathing, mindfulness and micro-pause).
⚬ You will create a personal stress management plan based on your resources, values, and realistic capabilities - so that it supports you every day rather than generating additional pressure.
Zuzanna Janeczko-Setkowicz - Professor of Neuroscience at the Jagiellonian University; Chair of the Council, lecturer and mentor at the Polish Mindfulness Institute. Certified teacher of mindfulness (MBSR) and compassion (MBCL). Author of a burnout prevention program based on mindfulness and compassion. She conducts stress reduction courses and meditation groups. She is in the midst of a four-year training at ACT's Heart of Integrative Psychotherapy School.
After the meeting, attend the workshop.
WORKSHOP I: "Circle dance - the forgotten path to joy and harmony". Conducting: Justyna Dragan.
Let's leave problems behind the door and experience the relaxing effects of beautiful music, healthy movement and acceptance. Let's give our thoughts a chance to slow down, endorphins to work, and smiles to brighten our faces and remove tension from our bodies. We will dance dances derived from different cultures, simple and beautiful, dynamic and nostalgic. We will dance to satisfy our primal need to play carefree in a group and connect with others through movement, music and the emotions born under their influence. We will dance to enjoy life.
Leaving the room relaxed, we will carry the joy, peace and warmth of people's outlooks further. We invite you to circle, smile and enjoy the joy of movement.
Justyna Dragan is a circle dance instructor and facilitator of the Biodanza SRT Method (a personal development method that combines movement, music and group contact). In her long career path, she has moved from sports competition, the perfection of choreography execution, to free dance, giving the joy of movement in good company. She has 35 years of experience working with children, adults and seniors. She loves dance in every form, but especially the simplest one, which is an expression of the joy of life and connection with others, which goes back to our roots and primal needs - to be part of a community, acceptance, carefree fun and relaxation after the hardships of everyday life. In her work, she combines the study of dances from different parts of the world with the emotional and therapeutic message conveyed by the music and the kind presence of the group.
WORKSHOP II: "Songs of the Ancestors. Hear your voice and discover your identity". Conducted by: Monika Dudek
This is a workshop both for those for whom singing comes naturally, and for those who don't have the opportunity to sing often - or think they don't have the aptitude for it. It will be a time to reflect on the songs we know, recall those tucked away in the recesses of memory, and experience the power of community, singing, voice, sounds. We will tell fairy tales and sing lullabies. We'll listen to stories about end-of-year traditions and think about how to end the year well. Surely everyone will take home a valuable story. Rhythms of nature, body work, autumn relaxation and friendly communication with ourselves and with others.
Monika Dudek - ethnologist, regionalist, folklore lover, cultural animator, singer and dancer. For many years she has been conducting personal development workshops, using her skills and knowledge of circle dances, choreotherapy, body work, traditional songs. Founder and long-time president (until 2023) of the Woman in the Region Foundation. She supports women's activities in rural areas, animates the senior community, leads women's singing groups that recreate traditional customs and rituals. She is a two-time recipient of a grant from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage for the documentation of traditional folk songs. In 2017, she was awarded the honorary distinction "Meritorious for Polish Culture" by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. A connoisseur of herbs and Polish traditions. She lives in a wooden house near Krakow and is comfortable there.
WORKSHOP III: "Worlds - traditional Christmas decorations". Conducting: Agnieszka Koryczan
This Christmas we will hang balls on the branches, which will be our new world and message for the next year. Agnes will show us how to create beautiful "worlds" - traditional Christmas decorations made from real wafers. She will talk about their meaning and customs associated with them. Ahead of us will be discussions at the common table and a good Christmas time.
A workshop for people of all ages - both those who like handicrafts and those who do not create on a daily basis, but want to make their own Christmas decoration.
Agnieszka Koryczan - Florist, admirer of plants, handicrafts and all things beautiful. For many years she has been organizing culinary and florist workshops and events. She is fascinated by meeting people, cooking, celebrating meals and creating. She adheres to the principle "as long as I have a garden and friends, I am happy".
