August 07, 2025 (Thursday)
hr. 18:00
East Conference Room
TAURON Arena Krakow
What behaviors carry the risk of addiction? Are lifestyles conducive to addiction? Warning signals for parents, warning signals in adults. During the next edition of The Art of Living Well, we will talk about addictions. The panel will be followed by workshops (your choice): Qikong or Tibetan Bowl Concert.
How do you recognize substance or behavioral addiction? Where to seek help and where to start? Should everyone be abstinent? These are important questions that Monika Borkowska-Zebrowska - sociotherapist, trainer, addiction therapy specialist - will answer. She heads the Prevention Department at the Municipal Center for Addiction Prevention in Cracow. She has many years of experience in working in the area of prevention and therapy of addictions and in working with multi-problem families. She is a co-author of many prevention programs.
Each edition of The Art of Living Well consists of a free panel (just download an entrance pass) and ticketed workshops (the cost of participation is PLN 20). In the August edition, once again, you can choose between two proposals:
Qikong
Tibetan Bowl Concert
Qikong is a Chinese exercise that combines elements of training, controlled breathing and meditation. This ancient practice has many health benefits, improves the overall condition of the body, and promotes longevity. The exercises can be performed by people of all ages.
The qikong is invited by Ursula Ulanik, a certified therapist who has been practicing and promoting TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) for years, according to which the focus is on maintaining health, well-being and preventing disease.
Tibetan bowls concert
Art therapist Kinga Czerwinska will invite to a unique meeting with sound that will soothe the body and mind. During the Tibetan bowls concert, participants will immerse themselves in relaxing vibrations and harmonious tones that promote tranquility, regeneration and deep relaxation. Under the influence of therapeutic sounds in the appropriate frequencies, breathing calms down, cortisol levels drop and the body regenerates. A Tibetan bowl concert is a deeply relaxing sound experience that releases tensions from the body and restores inner balance.
