For people with disabilities – TAURON Arena Kraków

The facility is fully accessible to people with disabilities with various limitations; in particular, those with mobility, vision and hearing impairments. Amenities in this regard concern both the facility itself and the space around the TAURON Arena Krakow complex.

The technical solutions used within the arena include elements that facilitate the functioning and movement of all people, including those in wheelchairs.

The area outside the facility

Ramp ramps (equipped with appropriate handrails), located at the main stairs on both sides of TAURON Arena Krakow (from the side of Lema Street and the Polish Aviators’ Park) make it possible to reach the level of the entrances to the facility. Pedestrian routes are equipped with lowered curbs.

For disabled car commuters, there are visible and well-marked parking spaces in the two-story indoor garage, as well as in the outdoor parking lot near the main entrance to the facility. These spaces can be used by people with disabilities free of charge.

Ticket offices have a design that allows wheelchair users to buy tickets without problems – the lowered counters and intercom devices are designed to communicate at the appropriate height.

Reception and support staff of the Arena

The facility’s reception area in a separate section has lowered counters so that wheelchair users can communicate and transfer all materials without any obstacles.

People with disabilities can be assisted by TAURON Arena Krakow staff. Among other things, the staff has a wheelchair that can be used if necessary by guests of the facility. If you need assistance, please contact the reception staff tel. 12 349 11 02.

Moving around the facility

Appropriate signage aimed at people with disabilities is located throughout the facility. The main passageways (not interfering with elements of the facility’s structure) at the entrance level and at the level of the Arena stands are marked in red. Marked in clear color (stripes) are the last steps of the gears on the staircases.

Moving around TAURON Arena Krakow, the disabled can use elevators of appropriate width, adapted to carry wheelchair users.

To meet the needs of the disabled, the sanitary facilities are equipped with a call system. The facility also uses Braille to mark levels in elevators and to describe SOS buttons (in case of fire) in stairwells.

Sectors in the stands

There are 52 seats for disabled people in wheelchairs at TAURON Arena Krakow. They are located on Level A and are placed symmetrically with respect to the long north-south axis; in four places on this level (52 chairs for caregivers of the disabled are also installed here).

Security and monitoring of the facility

TAURON Arena Krakow is covered by 24-hour monitoring. AO Hektor company is responsible for the security of the facility.
